PC Gordon Scott entered a competition to win some Selectmark bike marking kits at a recent trade exhibition. When he found out he’d won, and that Moat Hall Primary School were having a cycling proficiency day, he couldn’t think of anywhere better to use the kits.
He said “The bike marking kits usually cost around ten pounds each, and these are a top of the range product. I’m so pleased that I have been able to help the local children by making it easier fro them to get their bikes returned if they are unfortunate enough to have them stolen”.
Around 100 children are expected to attend the cycling proficiency day at the school on Tuesday 1st July. Community Beat Officer Ellie Sewell will be marking their bikes at lunchtime.
